Thursday: Janice Edwards & Tommy Gannon
The soulful Janice Edwards says “Singing has always been a part of my life. Music is God’s universal language of the world. What would we do without it? I love singing all music. I have sung everything from funk to country, but my love is gospel and jazz.” Come experience Janice’s beautiful voice and resonant selections each Thursday evening. Tommy Gannon’s fluid style and beautiful accompaniment to Janice make for an inspired pair.
Friday: Kenny Ard
New Orleans’ native Kenny Ard and his particular brand of Cajun jazz make him a favorite for our Friday night crowd. With his distinctive style and engaging manner, the piano bar is always 3 deep when Kenny is singing and playing keyboard. Highly trained, with a M.A. and B.A. in Piano Performance and Music Theory and post grad time spent with jazz great Ellis Marsalis, Kenny teaches music at 2 local colleges.
Saturday: Carol Curtis
The musical road from Riverside, California to San Diego rambles through Nevada, Oklahoma and almost every state in between, where Carol Curtis traveled as a musician. With a degree in music education from Oklahoma State University, she inspired young minds for several years, only to return to her true calling: cabaret-style singing. Playing the audience as skillfully as she plays piano and guitar, Carol weaves an eclectic mix of torch songs, Broadway and standards into an evening of fun repartee.
Sunday: Ria Carey & Don LeMaster
Ria Carey & Don LeMaster (The RDL Duo) are local celebrities in the piano bar circuit and the San Diego Theatre Community; Ria is known for her sultry alto belt and comic one liners, and Don L. for his amazing tenor and piano skills. Together, their dynamic harmonies inspire audience participation and create a unique atmosphere of musical moments.
